Sample Senior AF Emails

Hey Fellow Eph!

Hope the spring is going well and you’re enjoying the sunshine after a long Williamstown winter! I’m reaching out to you because I’m involved in the effort of organizing the Senior Class Gift.

The Senior Class Gift goes directly to the Alumni Fund, which is money added directly to the operating budget every year. This money allows Williams to invest immediately in the areas it deems most crucial – things like financial aid, student events, lab and classroom equipment, student groups and sports teams, and faculty salaries. As we, the Class of 2017, are about to become alumni, we ask you to join this important venture and make a contribution to the Alumni Fund via our Senior Gift.

This gift supports the operations of the College and is really crucial to supporting the student body as well. Without these gifts, the processes at the College would grind to a complete stop on January 19th, which makes your gift all the more meaningful, whether it’s $1 or $20.17 or $100 (whatever floats your boat). Plus, you can make your gift in honor of someone who’s important to you, and that dedication will appear in a program during Commencement weekend.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all! I hope you’ll join me in giving back to Williams in this way.

Your Class Agent

Hello ______!

I’m writing to let you know that I’m going to be your class agent for the next few years and hope to work with you to support Williams. Class agents volunteer for the alumni fund.

Even though we’re not alumni yet (yikes, I am unemployed) we’re starting to collect donations for our Senior Class Gift. Any amount helps, from $1 to a lot. Doing so will have your name printed in the Ivy Exercises Program and you can designate your donation in honor of anyone. For example, I will honor Robin from Snackbar.

Follow this link to donate or feel free to give me cash: Give2.williams.edu

Thanks,

Agent

Hey ____,

I wanted to reach out because I’m the class agent assigned to you for the next few years. Woo!

Although we’re not alumni quite yet, we will be (scarily) soon, and that means we now have the opportunity to give back to Williams by making a gift to the Alumni Fund. The Alumni Fund does a lot of amazing things for Williams, helping to fund financial aid, professors’ salaries, and student groups, to name a few. Basically, it covers the everyday costs of running Williams. As seniors, we’re responsible for contributing to the Senior Gift, which goes directly to the Alumni Fund. Any contribution, whether it’s $1 or $20.17 or whatever amount you feel comfortable giving, makes a difference!

There are two ways to make your gift:

— Go to http://give2.williams.edu and pay with a credit/debit card online.

— Give a cash gift to me in person.

If you want to make your gift in honor of something or someone who matters to you (family, friends, knock-you-nakeds), you can do that. And it gets printed in the Commencement weekend program, which is pretty cool.

I hope you’re having an awesome semester, and definitely let me know if you have any questions!
